Here are some tips on how you can benefit from your meeting time even more.

Prepare the agenda.

Plan ahead of time what you want to discuss so you can properly set the agenda for each meeting. If you have multiple questions/topics, a schedule will help stick to the time, and not end up with unanswered queries!

Bring specific questions.

As you think of questions during your day-to-day, write them down, so you don’t forget them!

Don’t hesitate to ask your mentor anything. Remember your mentor is there to help you out, and most mentors like dealing with sticky issues!

Take an active approach.

Actively exploring your objectives contributes to reaching more impactful results during your mentorship journey!

Look at the bigger picture.

Understand that you will not fully accomplish some of the objectives in four months. Rome was not built in a day, right? Continuously making small steps will have a huge effect!

Are you a person who likes being in an office? Do you prefer interacting with people? Answers to all these questions can help you determine what type of career might be suitable for you.

Where do I see myself in 5 years, both professionally and personally?

Your vision should be divided into short-term, medium-term, and long-term objectives. Once you know where you would like to go, write it down and begin creating a plan to get there. Remember: setting goals is important, but be flexible and go with the flow!
